KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Royals unveiled its newly designed fan bus on the Country Club Plaza on Thursday morning.

The design wrapped around an Arrow Stage bus shows fans watching Alex Gordon and Lorenzo Cain catch fly balls. The bus will travel to 10 cities outside the metro; cities like Omaha, Topeka and Springfield, and it will bring around 20 Royals fans from those cities to and from the game.

Royals’ officials say it’s a way of getting those who might not be able to get to Kansas City the opportunity to see a game at Kauffman Stadium. Driver Richard Glessner says he loves the energy these out-of-town Royals fans bring with them.

"I think it's a great experience for them. Especially some of the disadvantaged people we take, because we take them from different cities, I just think it's outstanding the Royals would do this for them," Glessner said.

This is the second year the Royals have used this fan bus experience to extend the team's reach beyond Kansas City.
