ATLANTA – Authorities are investigating a Craigslist ad that offers a “guaranteed white” baby in exchange for drugs or cash.

According to WSB-TV, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking to whether or not the ad is a hoax.

“6 months pregnant, don’t want it. Willing to trade it for $ or drugs. Guaranteed white, so don’t come at me cheap, serious offers only,” the ad reads.

Atlanta police say they have received hundreds of calls about the disturbing ad.

Police have now turned the case over to GBI for further investigation.

“We are not sure whether or not it’s a hoax, but it’s a definite possibility,” GBI spokesperson Sherry Lang said.

If this is a hoax, authorities are working to determine what the person could be charged with, according to WSB-TV.
