Don’t get shell shocked, egg prices on the rise

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Noticed egg prices at the store recently?  The midwest bird flu outbreak is bedeviling shoppers.
Some grocery stores have even taken steps to limit the number of cartons of eggs customers can purchase.  Restaurants are also scrambling.

Owner of the Corner Restaurant in Westport said she understands that particular foods fluctuate in price, but doesn't intend to raise the price on eggs any time soon.

Good news is that bacon prices are falling as the pork industry recovers from last year's swine flu.
