OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police are investigating a robbery at an Overland Park residence.

On Sunday afternoon, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery said to have taken place in the 7800 block of Foster Street. Police say that at around 2:45 p.m. the male victim answered his door to find two men armed with handguns, who eventually forced their way inside.  Once the suspects were inside the residence, the victim complied with the suspects’ demands. Officers said a wallet and several electronic items were taken.

The two suspects in this case are described as Hispanic males, both in their early twenties. One suspect stood approximately 6’01”, weighing about 210 pounds, and was wearing a red hat and red jacket.  The second stood approximately six foot, weighing around 180 pounds, and was wearing a black hat and red jacket.  Both suspects were armed with handguns and also wore red bandanas to cover their faces.

Police said the suspects left the scene heading eastbound on 78th street in an early 90’s model vehicle, described as either a silver Pontiac or Honda. Fortunately the victim was not injured during this incident.

Anyone with information in this case, including any information regarding the identity of the suspects, is asked to please contact the Overland Park Police Department or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
