Bonner Springs police look for suspect who allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint

BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. — Police in Bonner Springs are investigating reports of an aggravated robbery that happened early Tuesday morning.

Police said that around 5:20 a.m. they received a call that a woman was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in her car in the 600 block of Silverhill Drive.

When they arrived at the scene the woman told police that a man who had been sitting in the front passenger seat of a vehicle got out and approached her. The suspect then fired a gun at the ground before pointing it at her. The woman told police that the suspect then demanded money. According to police, the woman gave the man her purse and the suspect drove away.

The suspect is described as a black male driving a  blue four-door sedan.
