OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Police have identified a woman, who was injured and later died from her injuries, when a gunman fired into a house near 61st Terrace and Robinson on Monday. Police say this was in the same neighborhood a double-homicide happened in last week, just across the street. Investigators said the two shootings are related.

The woman was identified as 36-year-old Quaushey L. Harris. An 11-year-old girl, who was injured in the shooting, was hospitalized.

Investigators say a total of nine people; two adults and seven children, were inside the home at the time of the shooting. Neighbors told FOX 4 there were multiple shots fired quickly.

"There were nine people in the house, seven of them were children, and a terrible thing for us to have to be out here again after last week,” said Officer Gary Mason with the Overland Park Police Department.

One neighbor said he saw a man in what appeared to be a grey Grand Prix.
