JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. — On Tuesday morning, a judge increased the bond amount for a music teacher who is accused of inappropriately touching children at a Shawnee music store.

Prosecutors say Sean Dow molested two children younger than 14 while he was a guitar teacher at Funky Munky.

Dow has two cases against him. On one case he’s charged with two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. The other case he’s charged with two counts of indecent liberties – touching a child under 14 years old.

During the hearing, Dow requested for a bond reduction, while Johnson County prosecutors requested that Dow’s bond be increased to $2 million.

Judge Sara Welch  increased the bond for Dow to $1.5 million on the two cases.

Prior to the hearing Dow being held on $1 million bond, $500,000 for each of  the two cases.

Dow went missing after he cut off his monitoring bracelet and disappeared on June 13. Police in Los Angeles arrested Sean Dow on June 18, and he was transferred back to Johnson County custody on July 1.

Dow is scheduled to appear in court August 12.
