Car crash and Front Street and Chouteau

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One driver has serious injuries following an early morning crash near Chouteau and Front Streets Monday morning. The crash happened in front of a Kansas City, Mo., police officer. The female driver was behind the wheel of a red Chevy and headed southbound on Chouteau. The Chevy crashed into a pickup truck that was almost finished turning onto Front Street. Police say the driver was likely speeding when she crashed into a pickup truck as it was turning onto Front Street.

The driver of the Chevy was unconscious and thrown into the passenger seat upon impact. She has broken bones, including a broken jaw. The other driver in a pickup was not injured and her husband picked her up from the scene.
