OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Overland Park police reported a large water main break late Thursday morning.

The break happened near 103rd and Antioch and caused the westbound lanes of 103rd to close. Traffic is being advised to avoid the area and find an alternative route.

The call for the break came in just after 11 a.m. and water crews arrived on the scene just before noon. Water crews were working to shut off the water so they could start making repairs.

Crews on the scene weren't sure how many residents the break would affect. They said they would have a better idea once they shut off the water.
