Four children die in fire at Osage Beach

Fire swept through a condominium building in Osage Beach late Tuesday, killing four children.

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — Four children died in a fire at a condominium complex in Osage Beach late Tuesday night, according to KMIZ.

KMIZ reports that the fire broke out just after 11:30 p.m. at the Compass Point condominium complex along Passover Road.

The children who died were all under the age of five. One of the children lived in the complex that burned, and the others were visiting. KMIZ also reports that there were two adults trapped with the children, but they were eventually rescued.

The identities of the victims has not yet been released.

Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the fire. Autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday, according to KMIZ.
