Olathe police investigate shooting at 7-Eleven

OLATHE, Kan. – Police are investigating an early morning shooting near a 7-Eleven, where a woman was shot.

Police said around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the Olathe Medical Center where a 35-year-old woman was being admitted to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her chest.

The woman told police she had been at the 7-Eleven convenience store, located in the 200 block of North Parker Street, when she became involved in an altercation with several people who were in another vehicle. She said the suspect vehicle had fled the scene following the incident.

The woman was later transported to the hospital by a friend and is listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
