Missouri man subject of Silver Alert found in Kansas when car runs out of gas

LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — A 72-year-old man was found in Osage County, Kansas at Overbrook City Lake after his car ran out of gas.

Police in Lee’s Summit issued an endangered Silver Advisory for Jerry Stewart Thursday afternoon.

Police say Stewart was heading from Deepwater, Mo.  to Menorah Medical Center for medical treatment, but never made it. He was last seen wearing a black and blue striped dress shirt and jeans.  Deepwater is just south of Clinton, Mo., and about an hour and 20 minutes from Lee’s Summit.

Stewart is described as a white make, 6′ tall, 176 pounds, with gray hair, blue eyes.

According to police Stewart has Dementia.

Stewart could be driving a green 2001 Ford Winstar with Missouri plates KL0W6S.

Anyone with information about where Stewart could be is asked ot call 911 or the Missouri State Highway Patrol Lee’s Summit at (816) 622-0800.
