No foul play suspected in death of Gladstone man whose body was found in Missouri River

SIBLEY, Mo. — Jackson County deputies found a middle-aged white male, dead in the Missouri River near Sibley on Sunday.

The man was identified as 62-year-old David Gilliland of Gladstone, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

The Gilliland’s body was found around 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Investigators say no foul play is suspected in Gilliland’s death.
