BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. -- Great Clips is stepping up to help the community by supporting the Random Acts of Kindness Campaign.

Great Clips donated $500 and supplies on Tuesday to Cross-Lines Community Outreach. Cross-Lines is an organization based in Wyandotte County and helps thousands of low-income families every year. The organization uses its food kitchen, food pantry, rent and utilities, to help fill financial gaps.

Great Clips' donation will help the "Hope Tote" program. The totes are full of toiletries such as soap, toothpaste, deodorant and toilet paper.

"Toiletries is where we really needed the help," said Susila Jones with Cross-Lines Community Outreach, Inc. "And as simple as it sounds, toiletries is a huge need for all of us. And because it can be costly, especially if you have a large family and you're trying to get toothpaste, toilet paper, that stuff really adds up. And it's also something food stamps don't cover.

Cross-Lines accepts all toiletries donations. You can either drop off a donation at its facility. Or if you have a large donation, Cross-Lines will arrange to pick it up.
