KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Ned Yost has removed his Apple Watch from his wrist and is now sporting a timepiece made by a Kansas City company, after Major League Baseball banned Yost from wearing the smart watch, even after it presented it to him for being the American League manager in the All-Star Game in the dugout.

When the men at Niall heard about the decision, they knew they had to get Ned one of their watches.

"I think we've turned Ned into a fan which is a great fan to have," said Michael Wilson of Niall's.

Niall created Ned's watch just for him, with a Royal blue face.

"It's a beautiful watch. I love it," Yost said.

Most of the company's watches have a black face of the watch, but Niall plans to make 30 limited edition watches to benefit Children's Mercy Hospital.

Those watches will be available through the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend next year.
