Missing 14-year-old KCMO girl returns home safe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police say 14-year-old Zyliaha Jackson, who was last seen getting off a bus Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 11th and Grand, returned home on Saturday, Sept. 5 and is safe.

According to police, it appears that she had run away.

Zyliaha is a black female who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 230 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink sweatshirt, green T-shirt, black shorts and black sandals. Her hair was in a bun with a large black bow in it.

According to police, although some may know where she is, she has not been located and her family and police still do not know her whereabouts. They say an Amber Alert has not been issued because it’s believed she left on her own and was not abducted.
