KC convenience store clerk suffers critical injuries in shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are investigating a shooting that left one person in critical condition Thursday night.

The shooting happened at the Country View Market at 58th and Swope. Police say the victim is the store clerk, who suffered life-threatening injuries.

Police arrived at the store at about 10 p.m. Thursday and found the clerk. They did not confirm that the shooting happened during a robbery, but FOX 4 will update information online and in newscasts, as new details come in.

Police tweeted that the suspect is described as a black male 5’6″ tall with numerous gold teeth. Police say they believe the suspect could be driving a two-tone Dodge Magnum. There could also be two others with the suspect.
