KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A Lawrence woman convicted of murdering her former boss was sentenced on Friday.

21-year-old Sarah McLinn was sentenced to 50 years to life behind bars for the murder of Harold Sasko.

Prosecutors say McLinn killed her former boss and roommate in Lawrence in January of 2014.

Sasko was found in the home the two shared bound and nearly decapitated, according to court documents.

McLinn was captured in Florida by police.
