61-year-old Lee’s Summit man dies in crash near Humansville, Mo.

HUMANSVILLE, Mo. — One person is dead after an early morning accident near Humansville Thursday.

The online traffic-crash report says that 61-year-old Martin Edwards of Lee’s Summit was traveling on Route N just five miles west of Humansville around 5:10 a.m., when his 2011 Ford Van collided with a 2000 Ford F-250.

The report says that Edwards ran a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle. The report also says Edwards was not wearing a safety device.

The other driver was taken to the hospital. The extent of that driver’s injuries are unknown.
