TOPEKA, Kan. – An Olathe gun dealer was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison on Monday for paying bribes to employees of the company that makes Glock firearms.
According to the Office of U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom, John Sullivan Ralph, III, 42, of Olathe, Kan., pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud Glock by paying bribes and kickbacks to Glock employees for preferential treatment. Ralph owned Global Guns & Hunting, Inc., of Olathe, Kan., doing business as OMB Guns. From 2003 to 2009 Ralph paid 140 bribes and kickbacks to co-defendants totaling approximately $900,000.

- Welcome D. Wood, Jr., who is set for sentencing Nov. 16.
- James Craig Dutton, who is set for sentencing Nov. 9.
- Paula Ann Wood, who is set for sentencing Nov. 16.
Grissom commended the FBI and Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Hathaway is prosecuting.
