Minor injuries reported after Overland Park home catches on fire

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of an Overland Park house fire that ignited late Sunday night.

When fire crews arrived at the home in the 9800 block of W.115th Terrace shortly before midnight they noticed smoke coming from a second-story window.

Firefighters say they had the fire under control in less than 20 minutes and were able to contain flames to a second-story bedroom.

One person was treated for minor smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.

The home has minor smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
