KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One person is dead after a fiery crash early Tuesday morning.

Police say the accident happened near Winner Road and Manchester Avenue around 3 a.m. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Thaddeus Wilson, 29, a Kansas City, Mo., resident.

According to officers, the driver was in a Town and County van and heading east on Winner Road Bridge when he crashed through a fence, continued down an embankment and across two sets railroad tracks. Investigators say they also think the victim crashed into multiple parked vehicles before flipping over, going airborne and catching on fire.

The driver of the vehicle was ejected from his seat. When EMS crews arrived on the scene, they rushed the victim to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
