Overland Park Police search for assault suspect

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police are looking for an assault suspect in Overland Park Tuesday morning.

Officers say the assault happened at around 79th and Grant just before 9 p.m. on Monday. A man said the suspect asked for directions then pointed a gun at him.

The victim ran away, and the suspect fired several shots, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his late 20s. Police say he is 5’10” tall with short hair and a beard. He may have also been driving a gray Dodge Charger.
