Merriam police say missing teen returned home safe

MERRIAM, Kan. — A 13-year-old girl who goes to Turner Middle School in Kansas City, Kan., is home safe Thursday morning after she was reported missing on Wednesday.

Police say she  was dropped off at school on Wednesday morning, but didn’t return home in the afternoon. Merriam police released a bulletin seeking information about the whereabouts of Semaja Willform.

The police department says that Semaja is 5’4″ and weighs 125 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes, and was wearing black shorts and a peach colored T-shirt with “California” printed on the front.
