LENEXA, Kan. --  Many commuters have noticed large-scale cutouts of Royals' players as they drive past I-435 in Lenexa. It’s the product of printing company, Custom Color, whose employees brainstormed the idea to show their product and support their team.

Custom Color has installed the huge cut-outs  in their front yard. They have Slugger, Hos, and even a dead Blue Jay.

“We have a dead blue jay so hopefully that will come to fruition,” says owner Brett Saunders.

Saunders is a long time Royals fan, as are many of his employees. The company brainstormed a way to show their support for the team.

“I didn’t pick the pose or the ink, I just built it,” Kenneth Straight says of the installations.

The team did what they do best:  large-scale prints. This time, they made cut outs and propped them for all to see. It started with Slugger, Hosmer, and now Moose.

“I came in yesterday and told our owner that we should really have a Moose out there so we got to work on it first thing yesterday morning. By early yesterday afternoon he was up and out here,” says Jessie McWilliams whose favorite player is Moustakas.

The last to go up was the bird everyone wants to see fly back to Canada. But there’s more in store for the company’s yard art.

“We want to do a Perez. As we go along through the World Series, we’ll put more players out here eventually,” says Straight.
