TRENTON, Mo. -- Police are trying to find the white male in his late-twenties to early-thirties who abducted a 4th grade girl Tuesday morning.

For those familiar with Trenton, which is about 90 minutes northeast of Kansas City (about 30 minutes north of Chillicothe), the child was taken from an  area near a bus stop, and near the Jewett-Norris Library, 1331 Main St., in Trenton.

Police say a man coaxed the girl to get into his vehicle after he told her that he was a friend of her mother. Police say when the girl told the man that she 'was gonna tell on him', he let her out a couple of blocks away from her bus stop.

The suspect is described as a white male, with facial hair and a piercing in his lower lip. At the time, he was wearing a black pullover hoodie, orange shorts, and brightly-colored Nike shoes.

He was driving a dirty blue-colored SUV.

The girl was not hurt. Police are interviewing her and say she has remembered many details.

Police say for the next two days at least they will be putting officers on patrol outside S.M. Rissler Elementary School.
