NEW YORK CITY -- Christian Colon hadn't logged an at-bat since Oct. 4, when he singled against the Twins in the regular season. When asked how he managed to accomplish what he did in Game 5 of the World Series, even though he hadn't made an appearance in the post-season, Christian Colon said:

"I don't make it more than what it is. I go out there and try to put a good at bat together...
My dad always reassured me, always there with me making sure that I my head on straight... just a lot of different things... When I get in situations like this, I don't do too much, i don't try to get outside of myself."

Colon's pinch single to center field off Addison Reed in the top of the 12th broke the 2-2 tie.
