KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The holidays can take a toll on your body, try some of the healthy recipes below to keep your body fueled.

Oatmeal with Raspberries and slivered almonds

1/4 cup Organic Steel Cut Oats
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup fresh raspberries
2 tablespoons slivered almonds

Bring water to a boil in a medium sauce pan and stir in oats
Reduce heat to medium low for 25 to 30 minutes
Dish oatmeal into a bowl and garnish with raspberries and slivered almonds

Fuji Apple Salad

Spring Mix
1/2 Fuji Apple sliced Thin
1/8 cup feta crumbles
2 tablespoons slivered almonds
2 tablespoons dried cranberries
Balsamic vinegar and olive oil to taste
*Lean protein like grilled chicken can be added


Fuji Apples with Almond Butter
1 Fuji apple cored and sliced
3 Tablespoons almond butter

Asparagus Stir fry

Forbidden Rice prepared according to package
2 cups chopped asparagus
1/2 cup red onion diced
1 cup Shitake mushrooms diced
1/2 cup white button mushrooms diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2/3 low sodium soy sauce

Prepare rice according to package directions

In a skillet on medium heat, add olive oil, soy sauce and combine asparagus, red onion, and both types of mushrooms and sauté on medium for 8 to ten minutes until vegetables are cooked, with a slight crunch. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
