KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Taco Bell was the place to be this morning and it seemed like everyone in Kansas City got the memo. The fast food giant promised free breakfast to everyone in America if a player stole a base during the 2015 World Series. That player was Lorenzo Cain.

“I thought it was cool that he stole all the bases. I thought it was great they won the World Series. I was unable to go to the parade, so I said a nice treat would be to get my crunch wrap at least,” says Colleen Rowe who showed up around 10 a.m.

Rowe skipped breakfast and headed to Taco Bell. The Breakfast Wrap was available between 7 to 11 a.m. But it wasn’t as easy to get as she thought.

“I only got inside because someone opened the door to leave. They had already locked the door. They were not serving any food. I asked for the manager. The manager said no rain checks either,” she says.

FOX 4 also received calls from other customers trying to cash in on their prize but heard a similar story. Not enough crunch wraps to go around. Rowe found another solution.

“Everybody here was just livid. It’s ok though. I went to Wendy’s and had a 4x4 and it was fabulous,” she says with a laugh.
