Man charged with involuntary manslaughter for child killed in 3-car Overland Park crash

17-month-old Addilynn Poole was killed in 3-car crash in Overland Park in November 2015.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A 17-month old child injured in an car accident Saturday at W. 175th and Pflumm died from the injuries, and on Monday a 39-year-old man was charged for her death.

Prosecutors in Johnson County charged a man with two counts of aggravated battery and one count of involuntary manslaughter.

Initially police said three people were being treated at hospitals on Saturday following the three-car accident that happened shortly before 3 p.m., where one of the cars was overturned.

The severity of the injuries was not immediately known, but police said the victims were 20-years-old, 8-years-old and 17-months old.  On Sunday, they sent out a news release with the sad update that the 17-month old child had died.

The suspect is being held on $500,000 bond. His first appearance in court is scheduled for Nov. 10.
