KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A 4-year-old girl that was found wandering in KCMO was reunited with her family Tuesday.

Officers say the child was found just before 10 a.m in the 300 block of N. Wheeling. The location is northwest of the N. Belmont Blvd. and St. John Ave. in Kansas City's northeast area.

Officers carried the child from door to door looking for her parents, and said the search was difficult due to the girl's young age. Police say she told them every house was her house.

Officers told FOX 4 that during the second trip down the street the 4-year-old determined which home was her's.

When officers knocked on the door, the 4-year-old's father said he didn't know she was missing and this was the first time she let herself out the front door.
