One-month old baby boy found safe after Kansas Amber Alert

TOPEKA, Kan. — An Amber Alert was issued in Kansas Thursday for a one-month old baby boy, allegedly taken by his non-custodial father.

At 12:38 p.m., the child was recovered and the suspect arrested.

Police said Edward Alberty, 19, took Kaleb Thomas at about 10 a.m., from an apartment at 2013 Bellview in Topeka on Thursday.

Authorities put out an alert for a dark blue 2005 Chevy Malibu.

The Amber Alert was issued at about 11:13 a.m. Thursday at it took just more than an hour to locate the baby and father.
