Police chase crosses state line, ends with two apprehended

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A carjacking on the Kansas side of the metro led to a police chase across the state line on Wednesday night. Officers followed the car to 31st and Walrond in KCMO after the chase began in KCK.

Several police officers went to the scene with canines looking for reported armed carjackers.

This all started in the area of 48th and Parallel when officers spotted a Ford Escape that was reported stolen in an armed carjacking off of County Line Road.

The chase was on with dispatchers reporting speeds topping 100 miles per hour. It all came to an end at 31st and Walrond, where two suspects bailed from the vehicle. A gun was also spotted next to the SUV.

Officers captured one person after about a two-block foot pursuit, and the other shortly afterwards.
