KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Dozens of volunteers transformed retired rail cars, to create a winter wonderland and now, the Holiday Express has rolled into Union Station. Families can explore the gingerbread car, elves workshop, reindeer stable and more. Watch the video above for a peek inside one of the cars.

This is the 15th year the Kansas City Southern has brought this festive train into town.

The train started in Louisiana and made 19 stops on its way to Kansas City.

Each car is decorated with a different theme and Santa and Mrs. Claus greet all the kids who go through. They also raise money for the Salvation Army and this year, gave out more than $150,000 to those in need.
