KC leaders and emergency workers mourn loss of firefighter

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City leaders and emergency workers are mourning the loss of a firefighter Wednesday.

Kansas City’s fire chief and mayor issued a joint statement about the department’s loss. In the statement they asking for prayers and privacy.

The fire station where the firefighter’s body was found is the same fire station where Larry Leggio was stationed.

Leggio and John Mesh died fighting a fire in October.
