Lee’s Summit police seek two suspects in armed home burglary

LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — Two men, one armed with a handgun, burglarized a home in the 1500 block of NE Neawanna just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday. The burglars took a victim’s phone, TVs and a laptop from the home according to police.

Investigators say the suspects drove away from the crime scene in a green Kia Soul. Detectives couldn’t find evidence of forced-entry, and believe the burglars entered the home through an open garage.

Lee’s Summit police describe the first suspect as a black man who was clean shaven and stands about 6’1.” He weighs about 215 pounds and was wearing a gray sweatshirt. The second suspect is also a clean shaven black man, who is slender and about 5’7.” He was wearing a red sweatshirt.
