Hotels used to use HBO as a selling point, but these days they are experimenting with all kinds of new technology. Soon, your room service may be delivered by robots and your smartphone may be used at your room key. One of the neat things about self check in is that you often get to choose your own room; kind of like a seat on the plane. The Linq Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is using that self check in option along with Ben, a robot concierge that can interact with guests. At The Cromwell Hotel & Casino, your smartphone is being used as your room key. Just think about how people will never lose their room key again.
