Kansas City receives Russell Stover chocolate donation for Valentine’s Day

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City-based Russell Stover Candies donated 130,000 chocolate-filled Valentine’s Day heart boxes to the Kansas City community.

In an effort to create a special Valentine’s Day experience for those in need, the boxes will be shared with regional food bank Harvesters – The Community Food Network. The chocolate presentation occurred at Harvesters, 3801 Topping Ave., Tuesday afternoon. Mayor Sly James, Mark Holland, KCK Mayor, Valerie Nicholson-Watson, CEO of Harvesters, and Andreas Pfluger, President and CEO of Russell Stover all attended.
