Two cousins headed to KC for construction job killed in Bonner Springs crash

BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. — Police identified the two men killed Thursday night in a single-vehicle accident in Bonner Springs.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. along 118th Street near Martinek Lane.

Investigators determined the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle as it crest a hill, ran off the road and hit multiple trees.

Neither the passenger nor the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

William Joshua Henderson of Yukon, Oklahoma and Phillip Michael Was Jr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

The two were cousins and were in Kansas City for a construction job.
