KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A water main broke in the area of 31st Street and Southwest Boulevard on Thursday afternoon. The break was reported at about 2:30 p.m., and a FOX 4 crew found water rushing down the street towards the intersection of the two streets.

The main that’s broken is 12 inches according to the water department, and is affecting four fire hydrants and about a dozen customers.

The city water department tells FOX 4 that a repair crew has been dispatched, though an estimate for a repair time wasn’t given. We’ll update this story with more details as they become available.
