KCMO police are investigating after a man was stabbed early Tuesday morning.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City, Mo., are investigating a stabbing Tuesday morning.

Police say there was a disturbance between a man and a woman near 56th and Norton around 1:30 a.m., prior to the stabbing taking place.

The man was stabbed and has serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital.  The woman was taken into custody.
