Man in mid-20s fighting for his life after shooting in KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A man is fighting for his life after shooting early Tuesday morning.

Police say the shooting happened near 80th and Troost in Kansas City, Mo., around 7:15 a.m.

According to police, the victim walked into Troost Market, a convenience store, asking for help as he explained he had been shot in the chest a block away.

The victim is described as a man who is in his mid-20s and was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

So far there is no suspect description. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the  TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
