KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman is recovering at a hospital after Kansas City firefighters saved her from her burning home on Tuesday.

Firefighters say when they arrived at the house near 111th and Greenwood Road, witnesses told them someone was trapped inside.

They went in and heard someone yelling for help, and found the woman in a back bedroom and were able to get her outside through the front door. The victim suffered from smoke inhalation, but didn’t appear to be burned.
