Police investigate children left alone

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The University of Kansas sent out an alert to students about a man who grabbed a female student in the groin area as she was walking near Wescoe Hall Wednesday morning.

The woman described the suspect as a white man, between 23 and 29-years old. He had brown hair with a faux-hawk haircut. He is approximately 5’9″ or 5’10”.

He had on a blue tank top covered by a beige long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black dress shoes when he grabbed the woman near the Wescoe Hall loading dock at approximately 10:20 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The woman said she did not know the man.

The information came from Capt. James Anguiano at the University of Kansas Public Safety Office.
