KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A house fire started just after 7 p.m., with several firetrucks and ambulances responding to a home in the 5000 block of Brooklyn.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, but were still busy inspecting the house hours later, trying to find the cause of the flames.

Investigators say the fire started on the back deck of a single-family home and quickly spread inside. Nobody was home, nor were any injuries reported.

The home isn’t believed to be a total loss, a fire chief telling FOX 4 that with insurance the homeowner will likely be able to rebuild.
