KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man faces multiple felony counts after leading police on a chase that ended in a four-vehicle crash on Saturday.

Hakeen K. Harris, 25, is charged with kidnapping, armed criminal action, resisting arrest, and driving while revoked.

Police said a woman reported on Saturday that she had been assaulted by Harris and held against her will for up to two hours. Officers later located the vehicle Harris was reportedly driving, and attempted to pull the vehicle over.

It was at that point that Harris fled police until running a red light at Truman Road and struck another vehicle, causing other vehicles to also crash.

Authorities said 10 people were taken to area hospitals, including a 12-year-old boy who was ejected from a vehicle. All those injured are expected to be okay.

Prosecutors have requested a $100,000 bond.
