Lloyd M. Huff

CASS COUNTY, Mo. — Investigators with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office believe an 18-year-old man found dead along Interstate 49 on Sunday morning died from jumping out of a moving vehicle.

Lloyd Huff, of Jerico Springs, Mo., was found dead along I-49 two miles south of Peculiar after officers receivedĀ a call about a body in the median of the highway.

A tip led investigators to question two people who were reportedly in a car with Huff on Saturday night.

In an interview, the subjects stated that Huff was sitting in the rear passenger seat when he jumped from the vehicle around 10 p.m. His body came to rest in the median of the highway and was discovered by a passerby early Sunday morning.

It is unclear why Huff jumped from the car, but did conclude that he did so on purpose.
