Back in 2008, producer J.J. Abrams surprised audiences with “Cloverfield.” The terrific suspense thriller "10 Cloverfield Lane" is the unannounced follow-up. Not necessarily a sequel but a great extension from the first film. You'll understand better after seeing the movie. And oh what a movie it is. Suspenseful? Yes. Scary? Yes. Thrilling? Well, pretty much.

Things start off almost like a small Indy and then get heavy as John Goodman plays a baddy that abducts a couple of people.

It's like 'Room' part 2. But think of the best horror movies. "10 Cloverfield Lane" is smart creepy, unsettling and always a step ahead of the audience. Sort Hitchcockian in execution with a Wes Craven Vibe.

Russ says first-time director Dan Tractenberg skillfully ratchets up the tension without ever giving away his hand. Like all of the best sequels, you don’t need to have seen “Cloverfield” to enjoy “10 Cloverfield Lane” because it stands on its own.
