MIAMI (AP) — Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has suspended his campaign, saying he was on the right side, but not on the winning side.

Speaking to supporters in Miami, Rubio’s congratulation of Donald Trump in Florida’s winner-take-all primary drew hearty boos.

And while he was gracious in defeat, Rubio said in remarks that the country is “in the middle of a real political storm, a tsunami” and that he should have seen it coming. He said he chose not to run on fear, anger and playing on people’s frustrations.

Rubio chose not to run for re-election and said he’ll see what the future holds.
