17-year-old boy hit by a car suffers serious injuries in Olathe

OLATHE, Kan. — A 17-year-old boy and his dog were hit while crossing a street on Tuesday evening, forcing both to get medical attention. The Olathe Police Department says the teen suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The dog was taken to an animal hospital and is in an unknown condition.

This happened as the pair crossed West Dennis Avenue at South Montclaire Drive. A 59-year-old female driver did stop at the scene.
